BSS, the National Development Agency to mobilize people’s active participation in the developmental programmes of the nation was set up in 1952 under presidentship of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, then prime Minister of India on the recommendation of the National Advisory Committee of Public Co-operation of the Planning Commission. BSS presently carries out numerous functional activities. As part of its Total Employment Training for Total Development it imparts training in various courses

Course Overview

The course is designed to impart the necessary knowledge and developing experience in travel, tourism and hotel industry.

The theoretical and practical topics are chosen in such a way that a student with no prior acquaintance with the subject will get the necessary exposure.

Course Delivery

The course emphasizes a overall personality development by imparting knowledge through a balanced theoretical, practical orientation. During the course the candidate will attend curriculum lectures, lectures on communicative English development, audio-visual class room, various practicals, , outstation industry exposure trainings and projects. The candidates will be evaluated on their progress through quizzes, periodical tests, viva, record writing and annual examination

Monitoring, Evaluation, Examination

The first and second year examination and the evaluation will be done by BSS. The eligibility for attending the examination will be announced by the school on successful completion of the course and will be based on attendance, percentage in project and exercise, record submission and attending all internal practical examination.
